got a salsa last season, got one this one too. love it.
super snugg fit - even for thin legged peeps. flexes pretty hard.
super responsive. bomber padding. very durable material.
use it for park, pow and carving.
if you know how to ride and need a responsive freestyle-boot that flexes semi-hard. you will love it. got them true fit

Boots fit and feel are very subjective. So take it for what it’s worth. The salsa boa is the most comfortable boots I have ever had. It feels stiffer than the 6/10 claim. The inner booty is cushioned to not have pressure points. Your toes do not feel cramped. Great boots.

I really enjoyed my 6 days in Val Thorens in this boot. Used it with ride shadowban (bataleon astro asym) and Capita DOA (union force thb) and in both cases the boot was solid and responsive but I've noticed an annoying heel raise after couple runs. It felt good in general but whenever I wanted to remedy the heel raise by locking the BOAs and the orange collar cord inside more, my feet were getting slightly numb hence I was forced to leave the boot just a little on the loose side. Still, even with that tiny issue, I find this boot extremely comfortable and perfectly stiff plus very responsive

Worth noting, this feels like an 8/10 stiffness and definitely not middle of the road as it's mentioned and it's quite difficult to put it on first - hint if you get them, loosen the orange pull tab inside the collar to put them on easier.

Very nicely fitting boots, that give great support. Definitely on the stiffer side. Feels more like a 7 than a 6, but after two days of rideng they feel very good now!

These boots were super warm and the perfect size. Didn't feel like i had to size down or up. I spent the whole day (opening to close) on the slopes and my feet felt great! Would definitely reccommend!

Took a day to wear them in but once I did I found them unbearably comfortable. Highly recommended.

As for sizing, I had perfect fit by following my Nike shoe size. The "Mondo" sizing method made me order 2 sizes too small so I would take that with a pinch of salt

Very well made boots! Upper cuff articulation makes for a longer lasting flex and is crucial to a snowboard boot. I'd say they're more of a 7/10 flex and a little stiffer than advertised when compared to the majority of boots in this range. The overall fit is likely better suited for mid to high volume feet. My skinny ankles have a bit too much room in there. The sizing is true to size, but I find the foot print a little long for my liking and the heel (outer shell) a bit too 'fat' / bulky. Anyhow, great boots with a nice liner and great outsole that will make many people very happy.

Really nice snowboard boots made of high-quality materials, comfortable to wear, I can't wait to try them on the slopes!!

I initially thought I had ordered a size too small as it was INSANELY hard to put them on.

After reaching out to support, they told me to heat mold the inner liner.
After applying heat to the boots, to my surprise, I was finally able to put them on.

Wore them around the house for a few hours, adjusted the BOAs and kept the boots on.

Fastforward a whole week, I finally took them to the mountain and was able to put them to test.

These boots are SOOOOOO GOOOOD I couldn't believe!

There is definitely a learning curve on how tight you should adjust them to your feet but after that, they are PERFECT!

I'm also glad I waited for them to be almost 30% off, I'll never go to another brand after this experience!

Haven't ridden in it but the fit are true to size. Can't wait for next season to ride!

i tried the Bataleon Salsa. Generally speaking, the boots are really good. Nice qualitiy, nice designs etc. However the do not have the form i need and i had to send them back.

The tongue is very odd in that the top 1/3 aggressively curves away from my shin . A large gap between tongue and shin remains unless I tighten the boa cable excessively, which leads to the boot being far too tight on my lower shin. Thought the tongue curvature would decrease once i wore the boots a bit and broke them in but no. The boots don’t work for me. They might work for you, but certainly be aware of the odd tongue before committing!

First of all, Bataleon is a super cool brand. I like everything about them and even though I returned these boots I will definitely buy more products from here in the future. The boots were just not for my foot. I was not able to put my foot into the boots without huge struggle and pain. I managed to slip my foot a few times and then it felt really comfortable my heels were soo locked in and I really liked that.

I love the look of these boots and I really want to wear them but my left heel Achilles feels like a knife is stabbing into them. I’ve bought some things on Amazon to raise my heel and give more padding and I hope that helps. I’ve beat molded them and worn them for a couple days but they really make me want to cry every time. I would get so many compliments on them but all I could say is THEY HURT! I hope my remedy to the problem comes through with Amazon. I want to wear them so bad but I just can’t stand the pain!

Typically wearing US 9 boots and went with US 9 Salsa Boa. The boots are well designed. I like how durable it feels and the tpu toe cap design is great.

The liner is quite thick compared to other boots I have ( Ride fuse and Salomon Dialogue). The additional foams around the heel is quite crazy, in a good and bad way. Good that your heel is super locked once put it. Bad that I really have a hard time putting my feet in.

The fit is also a very tight fit compared to other brands, so watch out for that. The width seems to accommodate my E foot fine.

One thing I don't like is the calf area. It seems really tight and I can't really get the tongue to meet the liner. It is also because the tongue is quite stiff and already molded. Plus all the thick foams, making ones have thicker calf having a hard time.

Overall I think these are great boots. But I think the calf area design it a bit odd and the foam is too thick. The length of the boots seem compact, while the width and height dimensions look bulky due to that. Also these are stiffer and more responsive than I expected.

Amazing on my feet. Great comfort. A little more insulation wouldn’t have hurt but still amazing boot.

The Salsa boots are really comfy from the start! They feel very supportive and sizing is true to size like they told me. Happy with this choice so let the season begin!
