Softer snowboards are easier to press and won't kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Shape

Outline Shape

Nose Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most affected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile than others.

Camber Profile

Low Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ & Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Features

Technology Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping 3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction Construction

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Special Features Special Features

Our skate-inspired WallieTips™ will change the way you look at features and give you added confidence when approaching obstacles.

Construction

Glassing Glassing

Bi-Ax Lamination

A traditional two-way weave that is light, strong and playful; it keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for getting creative.

Woodcore Woodcore

Light Core

50/50 Paulownia and poplar creates a balanced core that’s lively yet strong.

Base Base

Hyper Glide S

Our standard sintruded base that’s durable and fast – and even faster when you keep it waxed.

Sidewalls Sidewalls

Flex Walls

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak, season after season.

Inserts Inserts

24 Inserts

A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.

Layup & Laminate Layup & Laminate

Carbon Stringers

Our tried and true carbon layups. We've used them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.

Tech Tech

C.S.T. SuperTubes

Central Super Tube, a single Super Tube down the middle of the board enhances pop without stiffening the board torsionally. Great for jibbing.

Ramen Noodle - 5'7 145lb on 154w

I say this with alot of love for the board and brand but after ~30 days on this board this last season the board turned into a noodle. I do enjoy buttering and moderate jumps n rails but it doesn't carry the same characteristics that it had the first half of the season. From a sustainability standpoint I wish it did because I've kept it fairly mint but again its sloppy aka below the 3/10 flex rating and little to no pop without alot of effort on your part.

3BT: As a beginner the 3BT is amazing. Its like you are riding in a spoon and It has definitely kept me from catching an edge and yard saling several times. My only concern is that you can washout easily if you don't get good at finnessing your edge hold. Overall, 3BT is great for beginner who wants to spend more time upright. Would get this design feature for beginner/intermediate or someone else who likes the 3BT feel.

Powder: Not it.

High Speed: Charging down groomers at high speed is doable but you get quite a bit of board chatter. Also, because it softens over time up it takes more work on your part to charge.

Jumps/rails: In the beginning you can get decent pop off a ramp or knuckle but since it softens up so much you have to put more work into it to ge the same feedback the longer you use it. When landing, the board folds underneath you over time aka no stability. Im sure it would be a great jibber but the fact it doesnt have pop over time makes me think to look elsewhere.

My plan: Going to keep it in my living room as a practice board and to give to people that visit me who need a setup. If I had a little brother or sister I would give it to them as a beginner board since its so forgiving for learners. Something this board taught me, because its so soft, is that I need to stay relaxed in my stance. Meaning my heels and forefoot need to be planted, something I dont think I would have leraned otherwise.

Recommendation: I wouldn't buy it again sadly. If you want a soft board though I'd look for something with a different wood and stringer profile. All the best.

Playful, forgiving, and impossible not to love

Picked up the Wallie to have something super soft for butters and ground tricks, and it completely exceeded expectations. The 3BT gives it such a smooth, surf-like feel and makes the board insanely forgiving. I don’t think ive ever caught an edge. Surprisingly fun in slushy conditions too… by the end of the season it became my default grab.

Fun, playful, but still versatile

This board is at it's home at slow speeds, getting creative with butters and spins. The 3BT really helps when you're spinning and buttering around, I've gotten away with stuff I would have totally caught an edge on a more aggressive board. However, it also can rip aggressive lines through pow pillows at speed. And stable enough for bombing groomers as well. Super fun board.

Wallie x Etna =nBlissfully jumbo funness

I scooped the 138 Wallie to desperately get back my beloved 148 Disaster from my 13yr old(growth spurting) son. I'm 51yrs old, 61kg, 165cm. I test rode the Wallie/Etna setup in the am before handing it to my son in the pm. I was expecting it to be squirrelly at speed, occasional washed carves, squishy landings and considerable time to acclimate to a short and very light weighted board. All my concerns were shattered.

My 19yr old nephew came inquiring on what I had at my feet. He was astonished with how fast, aggressive yet playfully dynamic my riding was and how is it accomplished on such a short board. Even in fresh 20cm pow it floated and handled gracefully responsive in the powdered glades. On the corduroy, edge to edge transitions were seamless. In the park it was just simply rad. Any and all features were cleanly entered and stomped.

The Etna binders installed rapidly and without fuss. Any adjustments were intuitive and carefree.

Asthetically, the all purple Etna binders sitting on the Wallie blacktop with red, bleu, yellow dots surprisingly delivered an appeasingly minimalistic colourful combo.

Dear Bataleon, you have once again filled my heart with gratitude and further secured my undivided allegiance.

Wallie review

Wallie is a super fun board. Its flexibility make presses way easier so you can do them EVERYWHERE.
Perfect for the park.

Playful job board, tons of fun!

The soft flex allows for creative butters and movements, making the ride really fun. While the board is soft, you can still charge and carve at fast speeds, and there is still plenty of pop. And the 3bt really helps when getting creative and playing around on snow, I've gotten away with stuff I know I would have caught an edge on on my all mountain board.

Bataleon wallie

The sidekick edge makes for hangup free spins and immaculate edge control. She locks on to rails effortlessly and will pop off of even the smallest of lips making side hits feel like kickers . She’s really surfy, and loose in powder and debatably even more surfy and sturdy on the groomers. she’ll let you bend her over backwards if ur a fan of butters and a decent sense of balance, overall she’s the best resort board I’ve been on in a hot minute, a solid 9.2/10

Great for FUN

This board is awesome for everything. Groundtricks, jumps, even carving is possible :D Board is very responsive and forgiving faults due to its 3d shape. I'm very suprised how easy is to make tricks and even making some faults the board doesn't make you fall. Also the weight of the board is very suprising. I've taken 138cm and don't feel the board totally.
I recommend this board if you search for fun and lightness. Also delivery was very fast, ordered on Tuesday came to me on Friday to have fun on slope on

Great ice coast ripper

Recently picked up a Wallie and I couldn’t be happier. I ride on the east coast and conditions are variable at best. This board has no problems cutting through everything this past season dished out. Thanks guys

Favorite board I've ridden

I love this board! It's so flexy and playful, it fits my riding style perfectly! I was also surprised how responsive the edges were with how flexible it was. I learned two new butter tricks the first day I rode it! Excited for all the fun that me and this baby will have in the future.

Wallie Snowboard

We got this snowboard for my nephew’s birthday. He did a ton of research on boards and chose this one for the specs. He likes to do tricks and the flex on this board really helps! He is still able to maneuver fast down the hill as well. Very happy with the board.

This board is money$$$

I have been riding since 2005 so about 19 years of snowboarding , I was a freestyle coach and worked in park crew and I was a snowboard instructor. I live in a ski resort in Colorado…

I would say I’m a park rat but love deep trees and all mountain freestyle…

Ok, so This board is meant to be in the park .

I Got many new tricks dialed with the Wallie. It Has tones of pop honestly and specially for spinning on jumps ! If you pop out of the lip you can actually get lot of air time and helps with that extra rotation ! Was able to throw down back 5’s with ease ! Front 3’s out of rails… back 3’s out of wall rides .. etc… and many other tricks that I wanted to do… It has tones of spring coming out Of the features which allows you to get creative and hit that trick that you might’ve been struggling with it ! I’m so stocked !!

And surprisingly held pretty well when carving also , which I was Able to do some cool invert carving and ground tricks and also having fun jibbing!

This board It’s not made for high speed although it holds decent speed…

On icy conditions if you are a beginner level it will feel pretty sketchy ..

it’s definitely not good for powder ! Specially deep conditioning or heavy spring snow … because of its lower camber it will make it you struggle with it.. so don’t recommend for powder riding or big all mountain riding.

This board thrives in the park. Period.

So If you are a park rat or loves the park this is the board for you! It can handle any feature and will help you to step up your park game I ! It is such a fun deck on jumps and has tones of pop for being a soft deck !

I recommend this board if you are an intermediate/advanced rider looking to throw down that trick that you always wanted or progress your game on rails and jumps!

I am a bataleon fan and Wallie is definitely a game Changer ! Previous I Had a capita DOA for few years , Burton Nug, Salomon Assasin, but honestly the Wallie is in my experience is the best park board I ever ridden!

In the past also I rode the Goliath for all moutain which is an amazing deck ! I also had a funkink and did had lot of fun riding it…

My next board I want to try will be a powder board from Bataleon ! Also wish Bataleon would start making split boards!!! But anyways …

Thank you Bataleon!

Charles

Exactly what the description explains. Surprisingly still pretty stable at higher speeds but I would recommend for new or experienced park riders. Only dislike is under extremely icy conditions it’s hard to hold an edge. I’ll break out the all mtn board for those days but all in all another great board added to the quiver

My favorite board ever

I’ve been ridding my wallie 2 full seasons and I’ve gotta say it’s the board I’ve enjoyed the most. You can boardslide boxes without even de-tuning the edges. Effortless turns and butter variations on the groomed runs. On jumps however if you land backseat it really tests your balance and athleticism. But it makes up for it in other categories. Its weight makes it very easy to spin/grab ect. I use it as a daily driver and you might think a board like this is sketchy for flying down groomed runs but it’s very responsive paired with the right boots and bindings. I’ve broken 50+ mph on various occasions. The cons: Avoid deep snow if your over 200lbs and really keep and eye out for the edges & base. Wax often and try limiting off piste or groomed runs with rocks. This board has an extremely soft base and kinda has to babied. When my current is no longer serviceable there’s a very real possibility I’m just gonna grab the latest model of the wallie agian

Wallie 154w

All around fun board. Hard to catch any sort of edge so it feels as if you can float down the mountain in any direction. Playful in the park and still surprised at how stable it was at higher speeds with how soft the flex is.
