The Tornado, developed in collaboration with Tor Lundstrom, is built for fast, aggressive riding. This board combines design elements from the Goliath and Whatever, delivering a dynamic blend of agility and power that excels in all conditions. Whether you’re carving up the mountain or hitting big features, the Tornado is your trusted partner for tackling any terrain with style and precision.

SoftStiff

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won't kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Shape

Outline Shape

Nose Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most affected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

Low

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile than others.

Camber Profile

Medium Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ & Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Features

Technology Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping 3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction Construction

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Construction

Glassing Glassing

Tri-Ax Lamination

Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Base Base

Ultra Glide S

A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and hauls ass.

Woodcore Woodcore

Ultra Light Core

A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

Sidewalls Sidewalls

Flex Walls

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak, season after season.

Inserts Inserts

28 Inserts

A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.

Layup & Laminate Layup & Laminate

Carbon Stringers

Our tried and true carbon layups. We've used them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.

Tech Tech

D.R.S.T. SuperTubes

Dual Radial Super Tubes, similar to DST but with four extra Super Tubes (six in total) running parallel to the board radius, delivering extra power to the edges.

Inserts Inserts

+2 Backseat Inserts

Backseat inserts are a set of extra inserts 4cm on the front insert pack and 2cm on the rear insert pack. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on your back leg is reduced.

Tornado

The Tornado is an awesome board. I’ve ridden the previous model, but that one didn’t have quite as much pop and wasn’t quite as stable at higher speeds. I’ve only ridden it for one day so far, but I’m very happy with it.

Handles all riding really well

Really impressive across the board. It handles aggressive riding really well — locks onto rails real nice, pretty stable on large airs and is great in the backcountry, love the back inserts.

Over the course of a couple months of heavy riding it did start to have some issue's that might have just been unlucky, but the Bataleon team were brilliant, so stoked on how quickly they to respond and really helpful sorting everything out, which says a lot about the brand.

Overall, a sick board

Amazing board

It’s an amazing board, tried it out last night and wow! This was my first board so I was a bit skeptical, the customer service helped me get this board and it was the right choice. The board fits my riding style to a tea, it was getting used to at the beginning but after a while it started to feel natural.

Board is amazing, but came with a dimple in the base and excess glue

Board came in good shape but the box/packaging was very very poor. The box was beat up and the tape they used was barely holding on. Also no sticker in my box :(

Great board.

After many years riding an old Burton Custom got myself a new board. Beyond Medals for me and Feelbetter for my wife. I have tried it once last winter and loved the feel.

Best Bataleon Yet !!! Finally hit it out of the park BM

Man oh man. Where do I start. Been riding bataleon boards since 2019. Have strayed since then with ride , rossingol, K2 , and a few others in between. Started with a disaster then went to the PW+. I’m about 6’4” 240 LBS with a size 13 boot. Wide boards are where I thrive and the 157 PW+ just wasn’t doing it for me anymore plus I had a ton of quality issues with the board. Got into a 164W BM and all I can say is wow. Stiff in all the right places , fun and playful at the tip and tail. Bites in ice and chunder. Rips through pow and groomers alike. Not as nimble in the trees as my PW + but once you get used to it there is no going back. It spins effortlessly , edge to edge is quick as sh*t. Hucks cliffs for breakfast , side hits get boosted , there is endless pop in the board. This thing just wants to launch you. You feel locked in no matter what , back seat landings are all dandy , I just can’t say enough good things. The setback holes for the bindings you would think are only for powder , but I found myself chilling back there for 90% of the season. If you want to just hang back and cruise it’s all about , if you want to send it full speed it’s with it. Base glide is insanely quick , and the construction of the board seems to be superior to the PW+. Lightweight when riding the lift , easily my favorite board in the lineup. Handles the park well if you feel so inclined , but thrives in the powder , trees , and side hit city. Rode this with the Bataleon Asymwrap Astro bindings and it was a perfect pairing. Never felt so dialed on a setup before. Keep it up. Loving this ride. Lasted me a full season which is longer then any of my other Bataleon’s so that is a big win for me.

Not the perfect board for me.

First i want to say that i have ridden snowboards for almost 30 years. And i have ridden bataleon boards since i got my first in 2012 bataleon airobic.
I bought this new 2024 model and out of the box it is beautiful black glossy topsheet and cool bottom graphic. But the first day i got it on snow i was a bit disappointed, it was hardpacked snow and as soon as i rode it the turn initiation felt really sluggish and even hooked alot. The base was also really strange, kind of sticky especially at low speed. I detuned the edges where the tbt starts and and waxed it, it was still sluggish to turn but didnt hook that much. Base also felt better intill the wax came off. Gradually the base got better after a few days. Maybe this is why it is a new base on the 2025 model? Anyway in soft snow this is a lot better, doing pivotal turns and the softer tips lifts up and it is good, personally i dont like so poppy boards for powder but if you do its great. But for hard conditions and park i dont find this very good, the tips are to soft so you wash out if you land backseat, and the turn initiation is slow, i have looked at the statistics and the waist is normal but the tips are really narrow. I dont know if this is what makes the turn initiation so sluggish but there is something about it. I can totally ride this in powder and soft conditions but if its hard i take another board.
I still like bataleon and even bought a new cameleon 2025 that i love and i have liked most of the boards bataleon made over the years. Find what suits you!

Fun board

Very lively and springy board, likes to ride aggressive and has a fun shape. Took it in some super deep Montana snow and it worked magic, 3bt really helped and the board ate pillows and cliffs. But when I rode it in harder packed kinda icy snow the 3bt felt very washy and took a while to get used to. (It was really fun for butters tho). The board works well in the park but it definitely takes getting used to coming off a classic shaped board. last thing is the construction sucks. Has so many deck stretches and a couple rail shots already after only a month of having it. Boards super sick but dk if I will be buying Bataleon again

Great board to ride but easy to damage. CHEAP CONSTRUCTION

Baught my Beyon Medals 4 weeks ago. Nice riding but board is easy to damage compare to other brands. Contacted Customer Service and they replied it was usual wear and tear. I don’t consider wear and tear when you are basically not moving and your board get damaged.

Personally it was my last Bataleon. Will continue to buy other brands from now on. My kids have other brands, they ride park, are a lot more hard on their boards ant theirs are less damaged!!!

What a board ( BM 2025 version)

I've had 4 boards and never a wide and never a bataleon, I went for the 161w as per the soze chart and tbh it goes for edge to edge better than any non wide board I've ever ridden. Flex is there in the tip and tail but firm in between your feet. Huge amounts of effortless pop, easy to spin and can charge hard when you need to. Edge hold on ice was excellent despite some concerns re 3bt etc. If you are looking for that 1 board that does it all, u should seriously consider this board.

oh my god this thing rips

this board is just so much fun. take it anywhere on the mountain and just have an unbelievable time. if the collab with beyond medals ends i really hope this board stays in the roster because ill continue to buy it again and again until i die.

Retired my old board

My Bataleon Jam is ten years old and the base is thrashed, but it was fast and durable. Loved it!
I'm excited to transfer my new Now bindings onto my new Bataleon Beyond Metals. 25 years of riding Canadian pow and I know this gear is the best!

Nice upgrade board

I started snowboarding last season and had just a second hand board that I bought on market. Place. And now my skill has better so I have upgrade to this all around board. Which is perfect. It is snappy for jumps and it stiffness give great stability while I crave with speed. Overall a great board to upgrade to if you are moving up the skill ladder

Beyond Medals 158W

Decided it was time to retire my previous board after 12 years of service and had always been curious about Bataleon and the Triple Base Tech. I was sceptical but wanted to try something new, and after doing some research and watching some convincing Angry Snowboarder and Whitelines reviews I landed on the Beyond Medals 158W. I’m 6.ft , 195lbs, size US 11 boots . Glad I pulled the trigger , it fits my riding style perfectly and absolutely rips. Great for riding the entire mountain and does not disappoint in the deep pow , it’s almost too easy! I’m definitely a TBT convert. Service and delivery was also great, board arrived timely and in perfect condition. Great board, get one

Beyond happy

Where to start? The beyond medals board is the bees knees. This stick always has me smiling and that’s what snowboarding is about. I’ve stomped some new tricks and shat bricks from the airtime on this. The edge hold on this is an absolute creamer. Not a single complaint other than seeing low stock, please keep making this beauty.

Shredding board

This board is just awesome, I was riding the disaster last year and tbh the beyond is way better for my type of practice .
Easy to take speed and cut snow like a Japan knife , I’ll try in powder soon but so far this board is sick as a all mountain I did slopes, butter tricks and snow park.
Amazing thanks Bataleon 🔥

Fly shit.

First non-Rome I have purchased in years based on Angry Snowboader’s review - the deck does not disappoint. I’m 6ft, 200 lbs on the 158W and have about ten days on it this season in CO and CA. Pop and carve hit; deep tree riding is surgical; in powder it sails well. Great choice for a daily driver.

Beyond Medals 156

Riding the 156 (5’11”, 170lbs) as my all mountain /conditions board in BC and it is awesome so far. Tons of pop from the full camber and rails turns. Haven’t gotten in anything deep, and usually ride a more dedicated pow board, but looking forward to the 3BT on those mixed conditions days.

My First Board ever!

I recently ordered my first snowboard after renting all winter.
I originally went with a different style of board but it came with a small defect, human error happens and the team at Bataleon after reviewing the defect made it right and had me ship back the defective one. I got swapped out with a new one. They offered a board suggestion after hearing what I wanted out of my first board and I am beyond stoked for the Beyond Medals board. I learned very quickly I love charging fast and slashing hard so I am eagerly awaiting winter to put miles on it.

The gist : the service was super fast and responsive. I will definitely order again.

Overall ver Good but one thing

Board looks great I like the shape, graphic and price point. But Bataleon please take more care to sharpen edges on your snowboards. They look like completly detuned.

The Real Deal

Got back to riding this year after many years off, and after trying out my newly purchased Lobster board, decided I needed something a bit more for the directional-style riding I was used to. The Lobster board was good, but needed something more similar to the old freeride ALLIAN Team board I had from ages ago so I scooped this guy in 159 and couldn’t be happier. It has more of a throwback feel to it with the Q-tip styled nose, but can still be rode switch with ease and holds lines super hard. Maneuvering with this board is effortless and sturdy, and gave me much needed confidence after close to 20 years of not riding. Didn’t get to surf any powder lines with it, but spent three days in Tahoe breaking it in on mountain terrain and it definitely cuts through the chunder and makes for a smooth ride on groomers, and it straight up murked a couple bowl runs at Kirkwood like I never missed a day. Can’t wait to get back on it next season and find some powder. I get it that board trends change, but I can’t believe this board isn’t sold out. It’s an incredible ride. Nice work BM/Bataleon.
