Softer snowboards are easier to press and won't kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Shape

Outline Shape

Nose Sidebase Uplift

Medium

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most affected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

Medium

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile than others.

Camber Profile

Low Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ & Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Features

Technology Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping 3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction

Glassing Glassing

Bi-Ax Lamination

A traditional two-way weave that is light, strong and playful; it keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for getting creative.

Woodcore Woodcore

Core Core

Full poplar with hardwood beech stringers to strengthen the boards backbone, reinforce the inserts and increase pop.

Base Base

Hyper Glide S

Our standard sintruded base that’s durable and fast – and even faster when you keep it waxed.

Sidewalls Sidewalls

Flex Walls

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak, season after season.

Inserts Inserts

A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.

Brave on the Board

Santa hit a home run with tis board. G-Dub, my 5 year old grandson, is improving his skills with each trip down the hill .. He has become very brave! He has tried several jumps, shredding, and such but his bravest act was he and his board riding a rope 50+ feet when the lift got stuck. Thank you for helping Santa find this gem! Grandma

Superb! 6yr old linking turns and riding laps on button lift after a few hours. Wish I had a 3D base when I was a kiddo

UPDATING REVIEW

My 7 year old is in the freestyle club this year so we wanted a more park oriented board. They don't really make park boards this small so this was a great option. He ORIGINALLY loved the board and had no problem transitioning from his other K2 board. The mini shred snowboard quickly began falling apart. The bindings went first. Our warranty covered a new set of bindings which they sent over right away. Then the bottom of the board began coming apart. Warranty covered a new snowboard as well which came pretty quick. Then the bindings began falling apart again. We just purchased this snowboard this season. The customer service was so outstanding but unfortunately it can not make up for a lack of quality.

Adult quality packed into kids board

Many kids boards are ancient technology and low quality materials. Not the minishred. The 3bt profile is ideal for small kids. It helps turn initiation and prevents a lot of edge catches. The base on this board is fast as well. Top sheet feels nice. Both me and my kid love it!

Shits is fire i rode this at copper with 20 inches of pow some chunder and a little bit of ice with some rocks. Rode it with my k2 Traxis boots and my Rome black label bindings also im 5,3 270 pounds this board snaped just going of a jump when i look at the base of the board it had gashes in it from the massive rocks that i was hitting also the boys told me i had a lot of steeze when i was doing the roast beef grab.

Minishred is Fire 🔥🔥🔥

Grom boards with sintered bases FTW. Our little internet famous mini ripper was being held back (by lack of speed at our local fridge, Big Snow) by his Burton Grom board with an extruded base. The speed difference was easily felt riding the minishred on his first run. One thing to note is that this board is significantly stiffer compared to a similarly sized Burton Grom board (and you’ll want proper two strap bindings to maximize the potential and pop of the board). Super happy with the board so far as well as the customer service in answering questions.

Mini-Shred delight!

Bought this tiny Popsicle thinking it would be a good entry level board for my 2 year old but little did I know she would be getting the latest in snowboard technology!! Now I am asking to borrow her board every weekend, I guess it's time to pick up my own bataleon as well!! Best snowboard ever!!!!The attention to detail is unmatched to other brands and no technology was left out even on a kids board!! Incredible company doing incredible things in our shredtastic community!

Top notch kids board

Bought this for my 7 year old. He hasn't yet had a chance to ride it but I'm sure he'll be pretty stoked. Top notch quality as expected. Looking forward to some snow.

Minishred 120cm W/ Minishred Bindings (S)

Instant progression. Immaculate turns. Bought as a birthday gift for my son. He has been riding from age 2.5 now age 8 and stands 51" tall bare foot to the ground. The 120cm board is probably a bit too big for him this season but should be perfect for next and he will have some time to play on it now. The instant better engagement was apparent to me watching him ride and after his first run I asked "So what do you think"? he replied "It knows what Im going to do". He is a pretty well experienced kid and has ridden some nice hardware so to hear him say that was just confirmation that we made a good choice. He loves the graphic and although that really doesn't affect performance he kind of turns into that cartoon face on the board, he gets a kind of crazy look in his eye and just goes for it. Bindings are technically cool for me in setup and function, I was surprised and really impressed to see the two bolt setup on each binding and how the pivot works to make it an easy move from powder to park settings. He just wanted to be like dad and the rest of the riders with two binding straps, moving from the single buckle three point type of his last baby board. For him the function was a bit of a learning curve but not more than just learning the big buckles are the ones to use and the little buckles are for making settings. He managed to bind and unbind throughout the day with no trouble and by the end of the second session he was popping them off like a pro. Back to the first thing I noticed, engagement. The bindings have given him the ability to really lock into the turns and stop more atuoritatively, a huge jump from the single strap system, he had run prior. He loves all the adults digging his setup and asking about it, he's getting good at explaining the 3D profile to people and now he definitely knows the difference between sintered and extruded bases. Last gondola ride was a short dissertation on speed by an 8 yo and why he would rather have to wax his base to be able to go faster than to have a more durable base that is slow. The Board and binding combo is a win, the shape and liveliness of the combo makes park runs and tree lines equally attainable for a grom seeking enlightenment, I cant wait to see what he unlocks next. Big big love to Bataleon fam for keeping the little ones in their hearts and making gear that we could only have dreamed of as kids!

Kid Loves It

Prefect board for a kid, mine loves it and you can see how the triple base helps them learn to turn, stop, and control the board more than before. Amazing

Minishred

I wanted to get my little one (4-year-old) into snowboarding this season, but didn't even know where to start. Looked around between Burton, Capita and Bataleon. I decided to go with Bataleon since it would match my board, and I've had a solid history with them. Man, did I make the right choice! From powder to hard pack, the minishred and binding setup was perfect for her! She was able to pick it up in no time, and the raised edges made it easy for her to learn how to go on her edges without catching them. Highly recommend for the kiddos!

This little guy shreds

Got a 115 in this cool little board for my son Who is 6 with a set of flow bindings. Due to the shape of the board he was able to easily stop on his heel edge, switch foot, and learned how to jump! Such a awesome Board for the little ones due to its shape and curved edges. He loves it! Thanks so much,
A happy dad

Batalion minishred 105

Picked up this board for my 6yr old to learn on. This board is stable enough for him to cruise down a hill without any issues. He's still learning to turn and this board is perfect for that, its forgiving due to the shape preventing him from catching an edge when he makes a mistake. Also, the graphic on this has him pumped to ride it too. If you've got an aspiring shredder don't hesitate to give this board a shot.

Good beginner board for the kid

My son loves it - calls his board Mike (pretty sure the graphic designer got some inspiration from Monster Inc). He is four this year and starting out this sport. He is very timid, and being able to catch less when riding down the fall line really helps build his confidence.

All You Need To Know!

Beginner boards come in 3 different shapes, my daughter has rode them all, and the Bataleon Mini Shred is hands down the best.
Your options are Rocker shape with upturned edges, like the Burton boards, which are very forgiving, but start to get squirrely at speeds and are pretty loose in the corners once your grom starts linking turns, this gets a little sketchy and somewhat debilitating as they progress from the bunny hill. Next you have a completely flat design, which honestly are most other kids board in the industry, some will say they have upturned edges and they are forgiving boards to learn on, but they are not, they are however stable at speeds and hold their edges nice, but for sure your kid is going to end up with some bad edge catches. Finally you have Triple Base like Bataleon's, which is the best of both shapes, stable at speeds and locks in turns nicely, but very forgiving on the edges. My daughter is 5 and currently on the 21/22 95cm Mini Shred. She hits jumps and boxes, black diamonds, and carves past most adults.
If you want to see all these shapes in action or ask more questions about getting your kid started, you can find us on IG @fromyerdad, but I can already tell you, this is the board that will take them from day one on the bunny hill and still be good when they start hitting jumps and exploring the rest of the mountain.

My 4 year old loves his new deck!

That triple base is a game changer for the little ones. Giving them more confidence while learning to control their edges. My 4 year old is loving it and took his first run from the top of Alyeska yesterday! Always been a fan of Bataleon I’m glad they are making good stuff for the groms too!

DO NOT RECOMMEND

When we first bought this snowboard we had issues with the back of the bindings continuously falling apart. They sent us a new set of bindings which was great. But then the bottom of the snowboard starting splitting at the 3 finger design. Again customer service was great and sent us a new snowboard. THEN the new bindings they sent us started falling apart!!! All within 1 season. The customer service is 5 star but this particular snowboard is complete garbage. We chose this board because we believed Bataleon would deliver a quality children’s board but this is not the case. The base
Of the board is put together in pieces around the design and glued. It’s the worst snowboard I have ever seen
And I don’t believe it’s safe.
