New for this year is the Party Wave Twin, an ultra wide freestyle powder board inspired by everyone’s favorite all mountain fun board. Thanks to 3BT we’re able to make ultra wide boards like the Party Wave and Party Wave twin that still feel nimble under foot because of the lifted contact points and narrow center base area. This board turns the whole mountain into a terrain park and excels in powder conditions.

What’s this board’s natural home? Full send in the park? Elbows down on the trails? Or chucking roosters somewhere off grid?

Flex

5.0

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Float Ratio

69

Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.

Outline Shape

Twin

Boards that are shaped for the park are designed with maximum center base width and minimal side base uplift. Creating a stable landing platform with confidence boosting forgiveness and next level agility. Think about your tricks not about your edges.

Nose Sidebase Uplift

High

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

High

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile then others.

Camber Profile

Medium Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ + Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Glassing

Bi-Ax
Lamination

A traditional two-way weave that is light, strong and playful; it keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for getting creative.

Woodcore

Pop
Core

Our classic reliable full poplar woodcore.

Base

Hyper
Glide S

Our standard sintered base that’s durable and fast – and even faster when you keep it waxed.

Inserts

+4 Backseat
Inserts

Backseat inserts are extra inserts 4cm behind the bottom inserts. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight more back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on you back leg is reduced.

Sidewalls

Solid Walls
Sidewall

We use tried and trusted ABS sidewalls for most of the collection. For the best flex to strength ratio.

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Goodness this thing is stupid...................perfect in every way possible. The 3BT is wild. I used to be a Lib tech/Gnu only rider for the last 10 years, a buddy convinced me to try out the 3BT and I took the leap. Takes some getting used to..... First 5 runs I kept thinking well I'll be going back to Lib, last 5 runs I was thinking how can I get another 5 runs... So buttery, park hits, side hits allllllll day long, powder, easy money all over the mountain, seriously blown away by the float and playfullness, all while still being able to carve and charge hard. Groomers and side to side transitions once you get used to the 3BT is effortless. I've only had two days on it but man am I a believer in the 3BT. For reference i'm 5'6" 150 size 10 boot and went with the 147, felt perfect! What a sick board Bataleon!!!!

The first time I took this board out, it felt loose and unstable on the hardpack. Once I got used to it, it still felt loose and twitchy, but in a good way. Once you set the edge, it carves incredibly well for what it is, and is a better and floatier powder board than any twin I've ever ridden. But where is really shines is in the chunder of a rutted out run, boosting to the moon off side hits and boucing through the piles of heavy snow all the skiers conveniently pushed to the edge of the piste. This thing is fun af, never seems to catch an edge, and makes me try hits I never thought I could pull off. For anyone wondering about sizing, I'm 1.8m (6ft), weigh 95kg (210lbs) and bought a 159. This size is perfect for my weight, and even with its substantial width the board is still lightning fast edge to edge. For lighter people I would size down according to the size chart.

I never had a choice 😔🤘

I would like to know who the absolute mad man is that decided to make the party wave into a twin… Bataleon dropped this knowing damn well I had to buy one. Let me tell you, whatever you think your board is, this board is better. It pops girthy, churns butters like the Amish, floats like root beer, hugs rails like your grandmother hugs you on Christmas. This board is a one of one, volume shifted because size doesn’t matter… right? This board is the TRUTH, I promise your Burton board isn’t as tight as you think. Grab a some of that sweet 3bt today, for the love of god before they sell out…

This thing blew my mind. What a dream to ride! I got lucky and was able to take it out on a day with some fresh powder and nice groomers for its first laps, and it didn't disappoint in any way at all. I can't say enough good things. I'm tempted to order another one now just in case.. If you're considering this board, pull the trigger.

So much fun!

Bought this board for this season, and it is my first Bataleon board ever, so I'm all new to the 3BT tech. With that said this deck is one there of most fun board I've ever ridden! It floats, carves and butters so well. Once you get to know the 3BT and it's benefits I guess there is no going back. The board has imo a good balance between flex, edge grip and pop. Sure it is not the hardest carver in my collection, but for sure good enough. For me this is a board that will fit the rider who wants to do little of everything, but likes to spend some extra time with side hits, pow and smooth 1-butters from edge to edge while carving. Well done Bataleon, this is a keeper!!
