I took the Surfer LTD and Goliath to Vail. Given the deep powder that dropped the night before, the Surfer was the perfect choice. Next day I went to Breckenridge and pulled the Goliath out of the quiver.....so glad I did. I LOVE THIS BOARD! I rode with Burton Step On bindings with DC boots. It took a couple runs to get the feel of the board but within a few hours I was having a blast. The next day I took the Goliath to Keystone and left the Surfer at home. Hit some side powder and it just floated and ripped on the groomers. This board can do it all.
I have been riding Burton for my whole life and love their boards. But wow, when I switched to Goliath I feel like I am a new man on the slopes. This board exceeded my expectations. Not only could I bomb hills and carve like no tomorrow, I had the control and confidence in this board and didn't catch a single edge all weekend. It is playful, responsive, smooth and still handled like a beauty. I can't wait to take it back and really hit the park with it and put it to its tests. Overall I would recommend this board to anyone but specially if you like long, fast runs with the options to hit backcountry and parks with a versatile board that can handle it all. Props to Bataleon for this board.
Board will make you ride faster than you should.. 3BT works!
Does well in most conditions. Jumps vvv nice.
I bought this board for park riding and mountain but it feel way to soft for mountain. If your are a agressive rider that put a lot thru the bord it won’t support you at all. For level expert riders I would recommend this bord for jibbing only. 150pounds and I ride a 156
I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the performance of your board. The Goliath is definitely intentionally made a medium flexing board. A lot of our team riders enjoy this board for freestyle oriented back country riding because the flex profile gives great freestyle performance and makes it very forgiving. If you are looking for a more powerful freestyle oriented all-mountain board have a look at the Jam.
I'm not a great snowboarder as i've started last winter and i'm 40y old. Just bought this board and test-it today and as a begginer, this board helps you a lot to progress without falling at every edge catch.
One day on this board with no fall. I think Bataleon must put this in in the top of the caracteristics.
