SoftStiff

Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Shape

Outline Shape

Nose Sidebase Uplift

Medium

The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift

Medium

The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making our boards more versatile then others.

Camber Profile

Medium Camber

Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better...

3D Shape

3BT™ & Sidekick™

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Features

Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Construction

Glassing

Tri-Ax Lamination

Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Woodcore

Ultra Light Core

A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

Base

Hyper Glide S

Our standard sintruded base that’s durable and fast – and even faster when you keep it waxed.

Sidewalls

Flex Walls

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak, season after season.

Inserts

24 Inserts

A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked to your board. These high quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.

Layup & Laminate

Carbon Stringers

Our tried and tested carbon layups. We deploy them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.

Tech

C.S.T. SuperTubes

Central Super Tube, a single Super Tube down the middle of the board enhances pop without stiffening the board torsionally. Great for jibbing.

3 Day old board is garbage

My brother rode an older evil twin for years which prompted me to give Bataleon a shot. I purchased an evil twin+ and was super excited to get it out. Two days in ( 1 at lake louise and 1 at revelstoke) and I was absolutely loving this board and then on the third day having it out I did a little butter as I was stopping and the nose snapped clean out from under me. I filled out the warranty form, attached the pictures and waited. A few days later i heard from Kara at Bataleon EU and was told that because the board snapped edge to edge the "warranty team" deemed the damage was due to impact or normal wear and tear and my $810 dollar board would not be covered. Since they wanted to make sure i was taken care of anyways they offered me 40% off of a new board. I tried to plead my case but was told" the factory team has a strict policy about edge to edge cracking as it 100% implies heavy impact."
As that was not the case and after reading other reviews with similar issues this seems to be a trend for bataleon and I would steer people in the direction of a more reputable brand that actually cares about their products. Also wanted to note the terrible response time for customer service, I was lucky to receive 1 response per day which caused the board I was going to give a shot to sell out before I could utilize the discount they offered. But after going through the reviews on many of their products they just don't seem worth the money even at a discounted price.

Great Customer Service

My previous Bataleon snowboard had delaminated out of warranty. I wrote to their customer services to see if anything could be done and found that they could not have been more helpful, assuring me that the quality control had been rectified on the next generation of boards, so I bought my replacement from Bataleon too!

A tricky adventure with my Evil Twin...

In March we visited Tomorrowland winter edition and the snow in Alp d'huzes was crap. Too warm, old snow, however I found a piece of 'virgin' snow and started cruising on my Evil Twin '22. Floating like a boss and surfing like the Surfer, my ET did it all.

Being in the moment, I suddenly realised that the steepness of the hill increased rapidly and I stopped instantly...just in time... a few meters further a 30 meter drop popped up. A drop I couldn't see clearly. In a split second I had to make a decission and go further and see if I could find a path or walk back and hope the snow wasn't going to slide.

I decided to take off my board and use is as a support to climb uphill while my feet sunk into the soft snow. Step by step I was getting away from the drop and hoping to find a different trail. Sweating all over in the warm sun. I crossed the top of the hill and put my board back on. The snow was even softer here, but my Evil twin was floating like a maniac...until I found two hickers having a break on the hill. I found the trail back to the Tomorrowland area in the mountain and my buddy came up with one of the best beers I have ever had!

From the festival area I looked back at the spot where I just was and the decission to walk back was the right one....trust your Bataleon and enjoy snowboarding responsibly my friends. #onelove

Don't do it

As Jachym Mahel, the other 1 star review said... the quality just isn't there. I had a delaminating edge, I should be able to beat the crap out of my board without worrying about little things like this. Bataleon may have some cool ideas and boards, but just save yourself some money and time and go for a quality well known brand/board
