Great boots with true user-adjustable flex

I switched to Bataleon boots after my old faithful Burton Ions stopped working out for me -- they break down so fast. The Acids have a similar flex and fit my feet just as well, if not better than the Ions did, and they're truly full season boots. The new powerstrap construction is sick. You can keep your heel locked in with the lower boa and the inner ankle harness, and then use the powerstrap to dial in the flex. Back it off for park riding -- they'll still be stiff boots, but nothing that won't work in the park. Crank it down for freeriding and these boots become super responsive and precise.

Broke in fairly quick and the double boa set up is so nice for making quick adjustments as needed.

They also look pretty sick

Super happy i picked these up and would again in a hearbeat.

Get what you pay for

Been riding these for a few weeks now, you can tell right away they are made with quality materials, I like that the toe box is seamless and the zip up snow cover is really nice, really helps keep your feet warm (one day I took my foot out of the boot and steam came out lol) they hold heat really well. The boots are on the stiffer side but break in nicely use them for backcountry snowboarding and boot packing with no discomfort. The one quirk about these boots is you will want to have the liner heat molded, they were difficult to get in before I did this. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase I get 100+ days in a season and will shred normal boots.

Top Allmountain Boot for steep Lines

Very comfortable, but also very reactive on edge
Size wise true to your normal shoe size

Amazing boots

Once you manage to get them on (these might be the hardest boots to get into I’ve ever experienced) these are amazing. Stiff and responsive, just like last year’s, but you can “tune” the flex better with the new power strap. Really good footprint reduction, especially since I was able to size down half a size from the Burton Ions I used to ride

The boots I didn't realize I need

Last year I bought my first brand new snowboard (Goliath) combined with Burton Step On bindings and boots. It was a good setup for me to level up my skills. This year I felt I would like to make it more stiff so it becomes more responsive. I decided to switch my Step Ons for Supermatic Carbon and the stiff Acid boots. Fitting the boots in the shop made me a bit unsecure if this was the right choice for me because I struggled to fit them and after that the boots were hurting a bit. But that's me: once I've something in my head I just go for it.

Now I've been riding a lot of indoor tracks and today I even tried my first jumps and jibs in the park. This was the best choice I could make. The pain in the first 5 hours of wearing them is absolutely worth the stiffness and comfort you receive from them.

Oh yeah, I went to the shop only for the boots but came out with the new Cameleon also. Do anyone know what's the safest way to tell this to my wife?

Stil needs work.

I returned as the top boa strap feature which I really wanted, was way too short. It did not even come close to properly tightening around the front of my boot and left a big gap on the side. If you have some calf muscle you might be disappointed. The boots are way too heavy for the price.

Very impressive boots!

Lightyears back I had a pair off B’’s SL boots , one off the first with an articulating cuff. The years after, rinding serveral brands, I never found a comparable boot ….. until now.
Trying to put them on in the shop was a nightmare, but on feet the felt better and better. Normally I would have asked half a size larger, the shop advised it, but somehow I knew that the super thight fitting was the better choice. ….
The first day on snow my feet where hurting a little bit, normal by breaking inn the liners. But from day 2 till now there getting better and better …. super comfortable.
On feet the boot feels a bit more flexible, but once strapped in (Astro FW) they really stiffen up.. Stiff enough for carving but surprisingly surfy/forgiving in powder,. So I found my new favorite shoe, thank you Bataleon!!
Only downside siide, is putting them on, that’s not easy and it takes some time. But the reward is huge, you don’t want to take them off anymore.

Best boots I owned in 30 years of snowboarding.

My first boot was a Burton Freestyle. I can't believe the evolution of the materials since then. I have big feet. UK11 and also wide. The most comfortable bootsI have found after trying countless boots over the years were 32 Lashed. They were lightweight and great for wide feet. Although a bit too soft for my taste. But I stuck with them over the years until last month. Normally I like stiff boots and a softer binding. After watching a review on angry snowboarder, I decided to give it a try. They are a bit difficult to get into when you first buy them. But they break in easily just walking around in the house. Even with the Lashed my toe nails would hurt just a little bit when I was just walking around. Acid boa eliminated all that. It is super comfortable to walk around. Heel cup is amazingly snug. The boot is snug but not tight. It feels more snug than lashed but in a comfortable way. The materials feel very high quality and sturdy. I rode them last week for 4 days. They broke in just a little bit the first day and retained its flex for the rest of the days. Getting in and out is not a problem at all once you wear them once or twice. I had UK 11 Lashed and got the same size UK 11 In Acid Boa. Fit like a glove. I'd highly recommend.

Acid Boa = Awesome boot

Truly a great boot, plenty of support and good flex. High end materials and quality construction. This boot holds up to 100 + days on snow. Highly recommended!

At least found a boot which fits my feet ;)

So my foot is kinda weird, 26cm in length but wide and high forward arc. Tried many brands and either I have pressure point on my arc or my feet is free and I don't feel stable enough.

Read few reviews that this boot is good for high arc and maaaan it really is. What I would really like is also wide option for 260 size as it would be perfect for my feet's shape. It still needs to break in as there is not much space near the fingers :/ currently riding w/o insole as heat molding and a week of riding couldn't make enough room yet.

So imho you need to heat mold them even before 1st ride.

Stiffness - I ride all my boots with flex 7, but this feels more like 9 to me :D So be prepared as it can be more stiff that you think.

Construction - this is a solid boot which matches the price. Insole is not piece of fabric but has actual arc shape similar to Vans' boots.

Sole - this is so much better than other brands, if you hike up a lot or have contact with firm and icy snow you will really enjoy it.

BOAs - it is what BOA is, not surprises here. Tho it took a bit of strength to make them work at first as they seemed blocked.

Inner boot - it's great, have a lot of padding to match your foot, even a little too much around fingers. Rollo wrap - mixed feelings, seems too small - can't make my mind if it's better than "normal" tongue or not yet.

Overall: Great boot, try it if other boots don't fit.
