Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.
Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.
What’s this board’s natural home? Full send in the park? Elbows down on the trails? Or chucking roosters somewhere off grid?

Our three-way weave of fiberglass is light, strong and responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern.
Our very light 70-30 paulownia and poplar wood blend for an unparalleled strength to weight ratio.
Dual Super Tube. Hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.
The type and placement of fiberglass greatly influences a board’s flex and riding characteristics. Boards are built with a layer of fiberglass above and below the woodcore.
Not a basic extruded base. It has the highest molecular content available for an extruded base. That means it’s super slick, durable and maintenance-free.
Triple Base Technology™ is awesome. The lifted sidebase areas at the widest points of the board make a lot of sense. The boards turn smoother and faster and it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings.
SideKick™ dramatically increases the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder and handling of the board in rough terrain.
SuperTubes™ are hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core in 3 different configurations. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcore’s pop and reduce weight.

Pops. Like a pogo stick. Real slippery In the warm weather. Floats like a boat in pow. I really feel like Aladdin on his magic carpet !!! The best board ever. Riding summit county mountains then heading NW!
This is my 2nd bataleon snowboard, had a 2016 Disaster that I'm still riding.
I used the Magic Carpet one morning with a fresh 10cm of snow and loved it!
I'll move in west(British Columbia)for next winter, can't wait to take my Carpet out on slopes again!
An absolute butter machine! Huge fun to play around with and of course superb in pow. 3BT needs a couple of hours to get used to and sometimes feels a little unstable when flat basing but that seems OK as it is also extremely forgiving.
The Magic Carpet is a really cool board. Just the concept alone is bad ass. I had a lot of fun on it, and in just couple inches of snow it starts to really light up and take advantage of the matching spoon ends. Its so easy to spin on, and if you're trying to learn switch, this would be a good board to start on. I liked it in a bit of powder, but it has one critical flaw in my opinion. I'm assuming that Bataleon needs to use an extruded base because of the 3BT, but the base on my board is a dog no matter how much love I give it on the tuning table. I think this board could be next level with a nice sintered base, but I took it out on a day with 12" fresh and it just lagged, and bc it lagged it didn't float all that well. If Bataleon can give this thing some speed - I'll take another look. But for now... I see this thing more as a wall hanging and fuck around stick.
Floats well in the powder, and very easy to ride switch on, which I expected. I was surprised how well this board handles the bumps.
