  • We will then have a second look at the warranty claim and make a final decision.

The Return of the Disclaimer

Bataleon Snowboards is not responsible for any harm that might occur from the act of snowboarding on a bataleon snowboard. Snowboarding is a very dangerous activity that should only be done wearing all the following protection equipment and more: helmet, wrist guards, ass protector, back protector, shoulder guards, shin guards, knee pads, elbow pads, groin shield, teeth guard, gloves, boots with steel noses, unbreakable sunglasses or goggles, sunscreen factor 60 and a meteorite deflector shield.

In fact it’s better to not go snowboarding at all. When you really have no other choice but to go snowboarding then don’t use tow ropes or T-bars. Don’t go fast, don’t go riding when it is very sunny, don’t use jumps and especially don’t do rails, don’t go on black diamond runs, avoid crowds and don’t go by yourself. If you go with a group of friends don’t go with a large group and don’t ride to close to each other. Avoid riding trees because of a high collision chance, don’t ride powder especially not when it fresh and deep. Always take with you a watch, a mobile phone, a gps, a first-aid kit, extra clothing, emergency blanket, food, 5 liters of water, extra batteries, avalanche equipment, a winter proof tent and sleeping bag, flashlight, matches, sharp knife, ice axe and a candy bar (just one). Don’t ride with heavy backpacks it’s very very dangerous and not recommended. Don’t use your board as a knife.

In case you end up in a powder field, don’t ride first tracks. Always wait till other people have tried it first (call us if nobody comes). In fact when in front of a powder field lie down, light flares and stay still. Don’t lie in the snow it can cause hyperthermia. Never go snowboarding in sub zero temperatures. Don’t go snowboarding when it’s too hot because of risk of overheating and dehydration.

Whatever you do, it is always best to not go snowboarding just leave the board in your room and look at it. When you put a board in your room lay it down flat so it doesn’t fall on anything. bataleon is not responsible for any damage caused by falling snowboards inside or close to bedrooms, living rooms, toilets, garages, lodges, lofts, verandas, basements, town squares, bus stops, train stops, tram stops, subway stops, airports, horse trams, boats (every kind), trees, gates, your mum and everything else a board can fall from/in/over/under/against. When you lay your board in your bedroom put it under your bed so you don’t trip over it and hurt yourself.
